Australian Karate Championships

Year 3 Balcombe Grammar student, Maggie recently competed at the Australian Karate Championships in Sydney. The Championships consisted of three days of competition from 26-28 April.

Maggie placed third in the 8-9 year old category which is a huge achievement competing against girls from both interstate and overseas.

Community Programs Leader, Rebecca Ponsioen, said Maggie was a little legend fighting in the 8-9 years old category. She fought against the current National Champion who is almost 10 years old.

The school community congratulates Maggie on her outstanding performance and on-going commitment to Karate.
