Following her recent success at the Athletics Championships, we are very excited to report that Year 12 Balcombe Grammar student, Geena Davy has now been selected in the Australian team for the Oceania Athletics Championships in Fiji in June.
Coach Jason Hodson said the Oceania Championships were a major milestone for young athletes as their first chance to represent their country.
Following the Oceania Championships Geena’s next goal will be the World Junior Championships in the USA in 2026. “With the qualifying jump distance being 6.20 metres, she is well on the way to achieving that goal,” Coach Hodson said.
Balcombe Grammar School wishes Geena all the best for the upcoming championships and continued success in her athletics career as she admirably juggles the demands of training with her studies.
