Gold at Victorian Jiu Jitsu Championships

Balcombe Grammar School are delighted to share with our community the recent success of Year 12 student Spencer Quayle.

Spencer won Gold in his NO-GI weight division at the 2023 Victorian Jiu Jitsu Championships held at the Melbourne Sports Centre from Saturday 13 – Sunday 14 May.

Mum Justine said, “he submitted both of his opponents easily to take away the gold on the day. This is a huge achievement and we are very proud of him.”

Everyone at BGS congratulates Spencer on his outstanding achievement that requires many hours of practice and commitment to compete at a State Championship level.
