MPRG New Wave Exhibition 2024

The Mornington Peninsula Regional Art Galleries (MPRG) New Wave Exhibition offers VCE and VCE VET students the opportunity to participate in a public gallery group exhibition and serves as an inspiration for other secondary students.

This year’s New Wave 24 will excitedly feature four artworks by Balcombe Grammar School emerging artists;

• Aria Bellotti;
• Charlie Hornabrook;
• Lulu Oss;
• and a collaborative project by the 2023 Unit 1&2 Creative Arts Practice students including Sage Buchanan, Geena Davy, Charlotte Gow, Max Greer, Olivia Lee, Millie Leete, Tahlia Lockie, Amelie Martorell, Vaida McCann, Eligh Rennalls, Millie Watson-Biggar and Annabelle Woods. 

Given the high standard of submissions, the criteria for selection from the curators and the opportunity to exhibit in a gallery as prestigious as the MPRG, the achievement awarded to our young artists is certainly one the Balcombe Grammar community can celebrate.

The Official Opening will be held on Saturday 2 March from 4-6pm, with the exhibition running until Tuesday 12 May. Families and students are encouraged to view the New Wave 24 exhibition which includes paintings, drawings, multimedia, ceramics, installation and more by a new generation of young artists.
